The construct of traditional business meetings has fundamentally changed. While this does not come as a surprise, the following might: according to MarketWatch, as of July 2021 over 22 million1 US workers continue to work from home, and Forbes reported this September that 26% of surveyed employees don’t plan to ever work onsite again.
That, coupled with the fact that 45% of executives attend six-15 meetings per week, and 31% of managers attend 16+ meetings per week puts pressure on companies to employ new technologies to support their at-home/in-office staff, especially for business meetings. Otherwise, productivity will suffer.
Now, with high-definition cameras and microphones (in office and at home), AI powered auto-zoom and people counter technology, business meetings are starting to blur the lines between the virtual and the physical.
